Things are a little slow on the knee front. It's settled down some since I got the magical brace, so I'm in a holding pattern until next Wednesday when the celebration begins. That's the day I get the first of several series of injections. These early pokes are supposed to get my cells excited so they're riled up and ready for the big dance next week.
Then it's 3 days of more needles. It promises to interesting and reasonably painful. Cross your fingers everyone. If all goes well I get to keep my right knee, and my wife gets to keep her hiking partner-at least for a few years more.
Coincidentally, last week friend, guitarist, singer and human being extraordinaire, Derrell Syria posted an article on Facebook about Australia's work with stem cell treatments. Well, I'm living the dream in New York, and hope to have something good to add to that dream in the next few months to a year.
I'll keep you posted.
